Abstract Sculpture in the spirit of David Smith

This steel Sculpture is minimal and it is what it is.

The Monk

This sculpture was made when I was 18 just after I returned from six weeks in Europe. I really love sculpting because it helps me gather my thoughts, relax and just enjoy the moment. This one is still in my personal collection.

Metallica City

This 304 Stainless steel abstract wall sculpture shows the angular and geometric complexity of big city life. Yet it also directs your vision up from the city skyline to the infinite heavens. Metal Sculpture abstract art. This sculpture is the one that convinced me that I needed to learn to make future wall sculptures out of Aluminum so that they would be easy to hang. That was nearly three years ago.

My Sculpture Studio & Sculpture Garden

In the old cottage neighborhood of Bluffton, SC my art studio is surrounded by 50 to 60 foot pines tree, 200 year old live oaks w/spanish moss and several tall palmetto palms, and just a short walk from the May River. Visitors are welcome Monday - Saturday 1pm to 5pm and by appointment.

Oil painting on Canvas by RF Kishel Bright light

A View of Hiltonhead Island

by RF Kishel Low light Dick Kishels was an amazing mid-century artist, as well as a modern artist. He was constantly experimenting and discovering ways to use modern materials and processes to create. I recall him saying if Michelangelo had fiberglass he would have used it instead of marble.

A View of Hiltonhead Island.

Oil painting art lesson with my father RF Kishel (the art teacher) When asked how long it takes to make a painting, I like my fathers answer, "All my life"!
